  • Ok, and I hope you were safely tied in when you were doing those pitch change-overs. Have two pulleys and two beeline split-tails and use both ends of the rope per the Tree Climbers Companion -- and/or make yourself a lanyard.

  • thanks for watching. I have a new setup that is great - the hand ascenders had to go, I now use two foot accenders and a bungie - watch for the new video in the next few weeks. Be Safe

  • hahahahaha "it's dirty!" dirty them ropes guys!!! climb hard or go home

  • Oh, did you go the modified Pantin route? I saw that DLRW by atreestory. I don't know why a Croll or Basic wouldn't work as well on the one side.

  • I gotta say it lilfoot, you deserve big respect for taking the time to make videos of your learning process. Seems like the simplest stuff to some people, arborists, but can be very confusing to the rest of the population, and with rope climbing into trees getting so popular, vids like this will only help others along, and show them that there is a definite learning curve. Anyone an learn to climb a tree with ropes, start with small steps, and work your way up, NO pun intended. Stay safe.
