I totally agree that these people are total scum, but it takes two to tango. They could not exist if it were not for gullible people so desperate to believe. Like Bernard Madoff - he was total scum but the people he conned out of their life inheritances were simply greedy - expecting stratospheric profits on their lofty investments. One cannot exist without the other.

Good point, but I don´t necessarily agree with it. Many many people do indeed believe that these charlatans are the real thing. But many, when shown the evidence, will understand and come to grips with it. Of course a huge number of true believers wont accept it no matter what. Those gullible ones are the perfect target for these scammers.
