I think this track IS my favorite track from the 70's And probably of all time . I remember listening to this track in High School . We had days that they would play a local station in a particular classroom . : ) Lucky me . But never found this LP . I think I'm gonna start getting serious about finding it .

Amazing band. Anyone remember their OGWT performance? That was amazing. If only someone would post it. Geoff Whitehorn...amazing guitarist. Reminds me in many ways of Kossoff. Soulful bluesy sound. Not as flash as many guitarists but his playing never fails to send shivers down my spine.

i saw this line up supporrt the Doobies at the rainbow in 78, they were wonderful, this being their stand-out song

if you get a chance listen to back sreet crawler ,, Kossoff was such a amazing guitar player , this is a bit like that 70's stuff i couldnt stomach but anything Free and BSC did was heavy and sold well paul rodgers and kossoff were the team to beat .. James Gang were right there with them

Great song. I have all their LPs, and also Back Street Crawler.

awesome band.criminally underrated, probably due to the fact that there was so much great music back then.
Geoff Whitehorn is so good!

@ terryslesser.....This is the first I have heard of "Crawler" and I will certainly review some "Back Street Crawler" next after reading some of these less than respectful comments. But listening to the live "Stone Cold Sober" absolutely grabbed my attention immediately. The guitarist displayed here, I am assuming is Geoff Whitehorn, is most definitely an accomplished guitarist and fits the sound of this band perfectly.
