Playing since ten years now.

Basically I use the major scale and some arpeggios. @ 01:17 I play the lydian-scale, and in the end, those chords are drop-2 voicings and chromatic-downsteps w/dominant7-chords.

...but I never thought about this while playing. I just tried to listen in which direction the melodic phrase and rhythm could get.
