Greg Palaschak's 4850 Deere with front wheel assist makes a circle and heads back to the scale to weigh empty at the Ransom Farmers Elevator. This rig holds 1550 bushels. I know. I picked up the ticket from the scale house. Each wagon holds 775 bushels although they are rated at 740 bushels. By comparison the biggest semi trucks hold only 1000 bushels. Driver is Tom Swan. Video by Doug Palaschak.

  • pretty sure the 50series wasn't front wheel assist (fwa).... the proper term is mechanical four wheel drive (mfwd). don't ask me what the difference is, but it's a pretty big one.
