A classic. Nicholson and Hoffman are at their best when playing the scene when Jack lights up a joint and talks about aliens. The range of Dennis's initial facial reaction and body language to Jack's theory about aliens is absolutely marvelous. BTW. They really were smoking a joint.

Dennis conceived of the basic plot of the film and.directed the film.

@xavioronassis This wasn't a documentary; it's not important that it's completely accurate. Plus, who the fuck are you to say what someone would listen to/watch while dropping acid? Just because you're an old burnout doesn't make you the authority on everyone's drug experiences. Plus, it would have been completely out of character if they drove around armed and along the way got into skirmishes with rednecks. Stupid.
