Nice job for her age and how long shes been playing. I'm sure she picked out the purple fiddle because it's her favorite color or something, but the next fiddle you buy should -not- be colored. Yes sometimes it looks nice to a person but generally speaking colored instruments arn't worth your money unless they electric violins(not acoustic and electric). The clear varnish on a fiddle has a lot to do with the tone it produces, next time you buy a violin, bring a violinist! It's worth it!
