Track #7 of my 2009 indie music ablum, "Garden Variety", finally on YouTube! I think this song is kind of thought-provoking without being as political or accusational as my other "world issues" songs. It's more focused on my philosophy that if you're blessed as all get-out and your cup is overflowing, go ahead and be grateful for it. I don't mean be proud - we can influence how secure our incomes are or whatever to a degree, but we have no control over what country we're born in... There'll always be someone smarter or more hard-working than us somewhere else who has very little to show for it. So with this song I just want to say that I'm thankful to have the life that I have, but I'm not absolved of any responsibility - if I have excess in my life it doesn't mean I'm a better or more successful person than anyone else, it just means that I have something that I need to share.
I noticed I've never put my lyrics in the descriptions, so I'm going to go back and put them in all the old ones too, starting here!

*LYRICS*
I missed breakfast
This morning, in my bed
Realised I'd never gone hungry
For a day in this life I've led
(Yeah)
This tiny taste of hunger
Reminded me just how lucky I am
How could I curse out loud
When there's every chance I'll grow to be a man
I missed breakfast
This morning, wasting time
Guess it was time to take a break
To make up my mind
(On how)
On how one day I'll make my mark
On this world in my own special way
But not right now, you know
It doesn't have to be today
Is that the fried rice I made you?
