Jason Newsted - My Friend Of Misery Bass Cover + Solo

My Tribute To Jason Newsted. I have a video of me playing this, but I wanted to re-record it for better quality audio as before I used a shitty camera. (The part at the end is Me messing around which I include the old American Civil War song titled 'When Johnny Comes Marching Home').
Jason Newsted is a great influence to me, I see him as a great person who cares about his fans and who is dedicated to music for the sake of music and not just in it for money. My Friend Of Misery Is the musical bass piece that has definately inspired my way of playing bass.
Oh and a lot of people ask me about tabs. I USED NO TABS, I WORKED THIS OUT a long time ago now by ear. So sorry!

@battleg0d - I can't remember what bass I used to record this. It was either a 4 string vintage v900 or a 5 string cruiser crafter both active basses. Both pretty affordable to. the 5 string was like £130 ish and the 4 string £200 ish.

@rula1294- I do not know. I am not technical with names and things. I just set it by ear, to the sound I liked best. I didn't include a lot of bass anyway. So I'd say take some bass off and add some treble but then I don't know all the tec stuff. I just do things by ear. As bas as it may sound I suggest just setting your sound to your own ear and what sound you like or think you need. Sorry I can't be much more help than that!

There is no one best bass player. Cliff Burton Jason Newsted Steve Harris Steve Di Giorgio Alex Webster, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stu Hamm. All are considered the best by their fans. Just because you like someone better then the other doesn't mean that they are better. Just putting out there.
