And what evidence do you have to back this? I would argue against this claim. Look at Soviet Union under Stalin and Lenin, Look at Germany under Hitler, look at the UK after their gun ban, look at China under Mao Zedong, the list goes on. All those peaceful leaders disarmed their nations and then went about committing mass genocide.

Also look at FBI crime statistics. An armed populace has a major reduction in crime over an unarmed sheeplike society where criminals have guns.

By the way, educate yourself, man. in many states, one doesn't need a permit to carry a weapon. In those open carry states, a permit is needed only for concealed carry.
