On December 18th, Vienna, host of Holiday TV went to visit Jose Fuentes, owner of the Santa Barbara family business, Boris cake Bakery. Boris Cake Bakery makes amazing, high quality cakes and baked goods for all occasions: wedding cakes, birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, childrens birthday cakes. In Holiday TV episode 18, Jose Fuentes shows Vienna how to make traditional Tamales from Mexico. Boris cake Bakery makes homemade sweet tamales for the Christmas Holiday, Tamales Pina which is pineapple Tamales.

  • I wish they would have covered how to steam them, Is this a special pot? where is the water? how long do u steam them for?.....sigh..... my search continues....

  • I called the owner of the bakery he told me to use 11 oz. of lard and 2 lb. 3 oz. of the masa. He also said to drain the pineapple and if the masa is dry to add some of the pineapple juice to it.
