fantastic video!

Question if you guys are American and not Canadian Pilots: In the US I know you don't have to have a pilots license to operate an LSA. But if you want to do amphibious operation do you have to obtain a sea plane rating on top of a sport or private rating?

Thanks for the quick response! I am even more convinced than I already was ;)

The animal that you see at 2:17 is not unique to Oneida Lake. It can be found in close proximity to many Challengers fitted with Puddle Jumper floats. It is this unique habit for which it received its official scientific name, Puddleopterus Jumperyx rudderopterae.

At the 2:17 time, what is that animal that sniffs/nibbles at the subrudder? It's there for several seconds. Other than that, GREAT video!

God, I can't help it ! It's so beautiful a Challenger on floats. I'm a Challenger II owner but no floats. I will do my best to add-on a pair this summer. We have tons of lakes here at Mont-Laurier, Quebec, Canada. (Laurentides)
Thanks

I noticed the 503 is a very popular motor, and with 2 pilots, skis and or pontunes, why is the 503 work so well, instead of the 582. Is it because the craft itself is streamline? tim andrew please write. pilotfire at sbcglobal dot net

I'm not sure honestly... One thing is, I don't believe the 582 was available at the time he built it... but I'd have to ask him to be sure...

How does it perform with two people on floats?

It performs great with 2 people on floats! My dad and I have gone many times... he's about 190 lbs and I'm about 200 lbs... it takes us a little longer to get off the water, but then its great, we fly all around Oneida lake and have a blast!
