I served my career as an Engineer at DOD & DOL & NEVER SAW ANYTHING LIKE THIS! I worked 8-10hrs/day, & in 26 yrs, I never made more than $64k. We couldn't even get paper towels or running water in a break room. The ONLY travel I did was to attend required classroom training courses. So please don't characterize all Federal Employees by those at GSA.

Some great things about America come directly from the federal government as well. For example, the National Interstate and Defense Highways Act. We wouldn't have accomplished that without a federal government. It's easy to demonize the whole system because of some bad players, but let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.
