Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band perform Glenn Miller's In The Mood. A Doc Severenson Arrangement of this classic song recorded in 2007 in association with Amersham & Wycombe College Media Department. The band is considered to be among the top three UK Big Bands and Debbie is the UK's Only female professional Big Band Leader. This footage was shot as the band prepared for a London Palladium performance. The band has an extensive website www.debbiecurtis.co.uk. An International Big Band they are available for private and commercial functions, TV and Radio.

LOVe it! What's the difference between orchestrating an arranging?

This has caused much discussion in music !

Basically ,in strict music terminology Orchestration applies to the writing for an orchestra where as an arrangement changes the original piece ( written or not) . Interestingly Swing Music is considered the cross over of the orchestrated and the improvised solo !!
