  • Yes, Joe Mondello always said that all of the factory HP figures were BS. I tend to agree as I have had some stout Pontiacs as well. Wayne

  • Heard that sayin a few times, exactly right! & Comparing Chebby HP ratings to Buick/Olds/Pont is like oranges to apples anyway. Chebby obviously rated their engines at every bit of their output and maybe more, despite it raising insurance they went for the sales. BOP went very conservative for insurance reasons or whatever. I heard Pontiac did theirs at an air temp of 100, Chebby at 60 . How much better does your car run at 60?--lots better!
