My car gets written off by a Bentley Continental Flying Spur at a garage in June 2007.

hmmmm... you run straight to the bentley and open the door - why? if it was my girlfriend in my car that got hit, i'd run straight to her to make sure shes ok......

@picas24 it was a Bentley Continental Flying spur. My car was a Seat Ibiza S.

Because I thought he was going to drive away and I wanted to make sure he didn't.
Anyway - it's what I did at the time. Hindsight is 20-20 and thinking about what I would do now I would say go to her first, but that was then, and in the heat of the crash happening.

That's all right. Motoring in the UK is pretty expensive, and I was surprised as well. I got a good payout as the guy injured my girlfriend as well, and as she works for Fiat I got a good deal on a much better car through her. It was a silver lined cloud!!

Sorry dude but no... scrapped after this... i sincerely doubt it.

Actually it was. The car had over 100,000 miles on the clock, and was 7 years old. Car's worth before the accident: £1500. Cost of repairs after accident: £3500 (New bonnet, new grille, new radiator, new wings x2 and paint matching for all the paintwork + labour costs). The insurers decided to write it off as an economic write off and scrapped it. I got paid off - the car went to a scrapyard.
