sounds like Stills singing live over a pre-recorded track. The background vocals & music are all recorded but Stephen's voice is certainly live.

Yeah-I don't think it's live.. I think it's a backing track with Steve singing live lead vocals though, as you can hear him scream at the instrumental break. They did that a lot in the '60's-they would do a mix without the vocal track for tv shows.

In those days the musicians were on the cutting edge of culture... the audiences hadn't caught up in 1966 but they would soon.
