@BSTDGTO Yeah I have yet to run good numbers with my GTO. Ive got a few plans to get my 1/4 mile times down this summer, but hp numbers like those wont be happening for a few years. Good luck, im sure with the gears, tune, sticky tires, and that loose stall 11's shouldnt be a problem.

@dajudge1969 Your scale was off or you/previous owner did some major weight reduction. The GTO did not come to the states with a 3575 lb dry weight like yours apparently did. Our cars are fat pigs in desperate need of a diet.

I just put a 8.8 rear end in from the driveshaft shop, and aluminum driveshaft 4.10's for gears also cam heads exhaust underdrive pully, 92 mm ported and ported the tb, fuel rails 42lb injectors, ling fuel pump, before the intake and injectors she put down 429rwhp and 401 torque, boping for 460wrhp and 430 wrtorque

Man your car will be sick with a yank 4000! My 60 ft times are between 1.6 and 1.5 you will be at leats a 1.4. Im running a VIG 3200 to 3400 rpm stall. What do you have done to your GTO.
Should be running lower numbvers with that kind of power, but I could see why with your stall and stock 18's. Plus if it was a hot day numbers really woulda sucked. Cars sounds great though, and she does very nice burn outs! Beautiful car.

@JamesSS69RS Yesyou're right on the money. The car is really heavy too. As you can see by the video it didnt leave hard with that tight converter and high gear. So we got the nod to install 3.90's and loosen up the Yank converter to 4000 rpm. On the street it feels great! Night and day difference out of the hole. I have been trying to get the customer to let me take her back out to the track.

yea i thought that did seem a bit sluggish. ive got a 2005 gto with 455rwhp and 462lbs tq and i usually run a bit less than 11.9 on the strip. ive got a lingenfelter LC system which helps me out alot.

Exactly. Now its got the Yank 4000 rpm converter and 3.90's. Just hasn't been to the track yet but holly mother of GOD what a difference out of the whole!

Its got a Cam Motion 232 236 with .600 lift on a 112 LSA, TFS CNC ported heads, Stainless Works headers, and Volant cold air kit. the car with me in it is 4100 lbs. When we orginally ordered the converter it was ordered SS320 for a stock cam so I don't believe we are even seeing 2400 rpm on launch. Thats why the ET is such a pooch.

Exactly! The converter is too tight so I just sent it back to have it upgraded to Yank PT4000 specs and we are going with a 3.9 ring and pinion. The 60 ft on that pass was 1.97 seconds. I have to get her to leave.
