In this prelude/fugue, the prelude is an Italian concerto, and the fugue is in a choral style. For the beginning chord, playing it with broken chord is appropriate (if you heard a lot of harpsichord performance, they use different keyboard or register to do such effect. And, of course, harpsichord is very suitable for playing Italian concerto. However, they would play it in broken chord, or the highest pitch might be hidden).

Yes, I also agree that, no pedal is not as 'authentic' as some people do believe. Bach didn't like piano at first glance is because that piano is very difficult to control. However, he tried some other pianos some years later, and love this instrument, includes pedal, of course (so, he also sold piano).

Esta fuga es increíblemente difícil... muy buena interpretación y muy acertado el carácter el preludio.

Hmm, i don't agree with you... Of course this music was written for an instrument that did not have a pedal, but realise it was probably performed by Bach in churches with a big accoustic (I have sung the MP in the Thomaskirche, so i know ;). So playing Bach's music on piano very dry, without any pedal, is not as 'authentic' as some people do believe...

i don't really understand, why did she use a broken chord to play from the begin? she played very nice and humor, but i can't to relize.

her sound's too blurry, in the fugue. A major blunder on the piano, imo
