Part 3 of 3. The complete press conference to introduce the Bloom Energy Electric Server concluded with a half-hour Q&A session. There were significant problems with the house audio system, so the audio here is bad. But you can still hear almost everything and the information is fascinating.
How come in a conference with so many GIANTS you have audio problem!!!

Bloom Energy, that's Wow. I like to have one for my house & start saving on electric Bill. And i wish the Bloom to be here in India too as well, which will solve lot of complex & major problems here, which also saves lot lives during rainy seasons. I wish K.R to establish more manufacturing Units accross the globe & make the entire world Clean, Green and a BLOOM world. I see Bloom will Rule the world. All the Best.

@KarthikSoun It's not that this technology can't run a car, it's just because it's inefficient to take your generator with you in your car. Because the most efficiency in transport can be gained out of reducing it's weight.

@futurehipay @karthikSoun
missing section here....dont know where it went. anyway more or less the high heats are wildly different then what is seen in automobile technology which operate around 50-80ºC. The high heat involved means turning this thing on and off would crack ceramic. These are meant to run 24/7 365 as is mentioned in this video.

@KarthikSoun cracks ceramics, which renders a cell nearly useless. So the theory is, to produce excess hydrogen which can be stored and used for your car. Basically the technology is different. Different fuel cells and they are completely different animals. This is still very interesting technology, im excited to see where it goes from here! I think i have more to say but i forget. any more questions I could try my best to answer!
(Mechanical engineer major currently taking a fuel cells class.)

@KarthikSoun it cant run a car because its a different type of fuel cell. These fuel cells I think are solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) as oppose to fuel cells used in cars with are (PEFC) which are more commonly called PEM fuel cells. This bloom box operates around 600ºC. that's hot, and does not make sense or is really applicable to the automobile.

This feels dubious.. He can power an house with something the size of an PC but cant run a car!!! Why not?

yes, it was little unfortunate on audio part but thanks a ton for all these...thanks not just to up-loader but tons & tons of thanks to K. R and Company for making this possible (the most cleaner energy on the earth at low cost) thanks a ton....... :) :) :)
