Manarangi Mua with TeAwhina Kaiwai-Wanikau from Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Mokopuna performing "Eye on the Sparrow" at the Sarah Lilli Family Concert 2010.
The Concert was organised by NZSO Associate Concertmaster Donald Armstrong and featured a String Quintet, opera stars Ben Makisi and Aivale Cole, and many talented young singers, musicians, dancers and circus performers.
The Sarah Lilli Fund was set up in 2006 by the Payne family, in conjunction with Barnardos, to honour the memory of their daughter who died in 2003 of a rare brain disorder shortly after her 10th birthday. This has been a way to remember Sarah and celebrate her life, as well as help children who go without the kind of opportunities she had.
