@dave360dave luck has nothing to do with it.trapping takes time and experience and you must know were to find the animals.you cant just set a trap anywere and expect a wholverine to go into your trap. once you set a trap thats not just it that trap has to be tended every other day it took me years to learn what i know now wen i was younger and less experienced i would catch 10 lynx a aseason same amount of traps set now i catch 40 a season it is hard work trapping the animal is the easy part.

@dave360dave these animals are smart if you get a miss on a set you must study the tracks and figure out why you missed the animal and learn from it.trapping under the ice your blind wen you set this trap you cant see the trap or were ur setting it it is actually a lot of work.i wont even get started on the weather a lot of people would die if they ran my line wen it is -30 and the whiteouts are horrible cant see 2 feet in front of you. it takes time effort patience and experience.
peace

Great video as always. 5911ryan has a great channel. He has a great way if snaring coyotes. I would check it out if you have never seen anyone use a power snare before.

@ShannonMcNab Paraffin wax works great, as well. It is odorless where beeswax is not.
-
Bees wax is supposed to be good for snares when it's cold so they don't freeze and break apparently.

Atta keep the spirit of you ancestors alive!!
I hate to say it, but to many natives are brought into a life of poverty and alcohol. Its not their fault, its sad more then anything. This leads to a life of crime. Puts a bad name on your people. Though i know more then a few good fellas that love living the way of the land.
Me...Im white as snow. But my heart is with mother nature....

Not letal traps aren´t allowed in our country and that with good reason. What a shame to see animals suffering like in this vid.
At 1:18 what is hanging on your wall to the left of the strecher???
