  • This is Hiza Guruma. Sasae Tsurkomi Ashi is done by blocking the ankle, lifting pulling. The movement to accomplish this is first stepping to the side with the right foot and then rotating over the blocked ankle. The opening is when Uke steps inccorrectly.

  • I'll discuss this with other veterans in Akban next week and if needed we'll change the name both here, in YouTube and in the Akban-wiki.

    Thanks

  • Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi

  • Thanks, updated the name

  • Sasae should be down in his step at the ankle. Not at the knee or when he puts wait on his leg en stands on it...

  • @sjcmikew could not be more correct. =]

  • Hiza Guruma(knee Wheel) is done like this shows pretty much with blocking right under the patella and then wheeling over with a lifting pulling motion, little more pulling than lifting.

  • Nevertheless as long as the fore leg is blocked it is Sasai Tsurikomi Ashi, while blocking the bach leg makes it a Hiza Guruma.

  • it dosn´t look like hiza guruma... it IS...

    hiza=knee...

  • This looks more like hiza guruma.
