whats the performance hit like >_>? I would imagine in dungeons with multiple actors the game's shitty shadow rendering could and would probably drag most mid-range setting into the ground?

Its very close to be perfect! Only thing that would make it better is if you made the shadow dance... As the flame from the torch dances :)
