All Northeasterners, Geordies, Mackems, and Smoggies ask your MP Councillors, and Mayors why or what they are doing to build ships for the renawable energy sector. Mitsubishi want to get involved in turbines over here, but also and shipbuilding, not over here, in the this UK sector. They really should be setting up a yard here, it would make more economic sense for them, and us. These are thing's we are just not acting or moving quickly on. It's not just a handful but 100s of new ships we need.

What a short-sighted act of industrial sabotage this is.I can not believe that an Island Nation who uses the Sea for all her trade could be as idiotic as to let it's Shipbuilding go to the wall.

I felt really priviledged in a sad sense to have seen the boom being lowered - although the last 2 times ive been to the site (including this morning) doesnt seem to be anything moving apart from the large dark green crane.

Since the lowering of the jib on last red crane there has been very little activity. Titan III has been run and the floating dock is now back on the river after being shortened. As you saw, the old green crane has been 'exercised'. I would assume that next week will see the return to the slow destruction of the yard.
