Lea Salonga
- Multi-awarded Filipino singer and actress who is best known for originating the role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon
- She was also the first Asian to play Eponine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway.
- Salonga is the singing voice of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin in 1992 and Fa Mulan for Mulan and Mulan II in 1998 and in 2004, respectively.

Susan Boyle
- A Scottish singer & church volunteer who came to public attention on 11 April 2009, when she appeared as a contestant on the third series of Britain's Got Talent.
- She found fame when she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables in the competition's first round.

Susan Boyle has a great amateur voice and it is unfair to compare her to a seasoned trained professional like Lea.  I have heard both live, Susan deserves credit for managing to capture hearts and bring happiness to many people, but to a musician (I am a musician myself) who has worked with professional singers, there is a abyss between what will stir an audience in a frenzy in a show such as Pop Idol etc and musicians whose body of recorded work stands the test of time. Keep listening :-)
