  • @4dventurer No you are very wrong she isnt sharp at all. Please posta video of your kata so I can see what you think sharp is

  • @HworthX51 You are joking right

  • @4dventurer That may be true but most of them cant take a punch so are useless at self defence

  • @WadoAJ am afraid I have to agree. I love to see the youngsters performing at high level but they must have focus and power otherwise it is just a dance.

  • Look at her shoulder..she does too many useless movements....

  • porquería d kata crees q te la comiste con esa basura.

  • that was not that bad.

    i'd hit her.

  • C'mon guys/gals.... Speed only, no technique and no power. Fighting-wise she quite likely won't be up to par either. Performance in kata does not equal performance in fighting. However, complete lack of technique IS detrimental to fighting performance. And this woman has no technique at all.

  • Unlike other posters here you put skill in kata into perspective with skill in kumite. Lots of people just claim that kata prepares for kumite. If you take a kumite tournament and have one try the first 4 Heian Nidan moves (or any kata moves) to block a punch-kick combination, this guy will get creamed. Kumite does not resemble Kihon or Kata. And neither Kihon nor Kata are imperativ to be a good fighter. And in terms of athletic ability: todays atheletes are way ahead of the guys of the past.

  • its true that you do not have to be good at kata to be a good fighter. On the other hand, when someone has great kata, the chance that they are a great fighter is excellent. I have never seen someone who is good at kata who can't fight well, and I've been teaching and trainging for a long time
