Chris Rego, "this Song is by Robert Beaumont." From the group Olomana, of which Robert sadly passed in 1982. He was the second half of Olomana with Jerry Santos, who continues singing today. Sung by Chris Rego at the Tropics Bar & Grill, December 14, 2010. It was so wonderful to sit and listen to Chris sing. I gave up shopping and such to hear more.
Lryics:
People coming, and people leaving.
I'm just hanging on, not knowing why.
Found the reason for staying,
about the beauty in saying this is my, my home.
Because here there are rainbows and mid-morning showers.
People are laughing their loving their hours.
The young and the old men back home we are brothers.
I'm staying on.
Chorus:
Home, I've got to be there.
Home, I've got to be there.
I am staying, I am leaving,
I'm just hanging on, not knowing why.
I found the staying, I found the beauty in staying,
Oh, this is my, my home because,
here there are rainbows and mid-morning showers.
People are laughing their loving their hours.
The young and the old men back home we are brothers.
I'm staying on. Oh,
Chorus:
Home, I've got to be there.
Home, I've got to be there.
Home, I've got to be there.
Home, I've got to be there.
Home.

Love this song! Fantastic rendition. I wish I were sitting in that empty seat. Home... I've got to be there.
