  • I see this was posted in 2010, I'm about to try some rice. Could you give a update on how your plants did?

  • @BigHeadPrepper Plants did really well. My problem was thrashing the rice out of the heads. Hope to grow more rice this year, didn't garden last year due to family stuff. I'll play with various thrashing methods and see what will work best for us.

  • @TheRastaRick Just brown rice I bought at a store. Any rice that's not been denatured (outer layers removed and made into white rice) can be planted and grown. As long as the whole grain rice isn't too old or improperly stored or precooked to make for shorter cooking time at home, it can be planted and grown.
