@stolpioni absolutely. there are many Swedes as well as Swedish-Americans throughout the Midwest. And in Rockford this is definitely true. At the Stockholm Inn (Swedish restaurant in Rockford) most of the employees are from Sweden. At least, the last time I went they were.

@stolpioni there are a lot there, yes. i think it's fair to say minnesota has the most swedish-americans but i don't know if minneapolis is the most heavily populated. my grandparents live in Rockford, Ill. About 120,000 pop. And I'd say 30-35% is Swedish. Theres Swedish restaurants and gift shops.

I'm swedish and my grandfather got cousins in both Chicago and Seattle, sure the majority are probably in Minnesota, California etc but there are many swedish-americans spread all over america :)
