Eipä sillä kaiketi mitään väliä ole. Selainta pitää vaihtaa kun tuota käyttää, vaikka pieni vaiva kai se on :)

sais mutta activex tarjoaa helpon tavan päästä käsiksi 3rd softaan joka asennetaan helposti sitä kautta. voisihan sen toki tehdä javalla mutta onko sillä niin merkitystä mikä se on kun windowsista on kyse ja ie sieltä löytyy.
