Everything looks all utopian from the BART perspective. Unlike the reality.

A few of the Victorian buildings put up after the 1906 quake looked like an attempt to clone "frisco" in Oakland west. Thankfully, it didn't stick, and the section of Oakland West retained its laid back character of predominantly single dwellings.
