October 14th, 2009 Whitetail Deer Hunting

Well my brother John and I figured we'd try something a little different to get into range of some big bucks we were seeing. So we broke out the decoy and this is what came in. We are sitting on the ground with corn stalks as our only cover. The end gets a little shaky cause I had to remove the camera from the tripod to get this big boy on camera. he locked on to you guys. he was real wary to begin with but he must have seen you move cause he didnt like you. but, hey. thats why its called hunting

@tkoutdoors1 Thanks for the comment. I think he could see us and wasn't quite sure what we were. We didn't move a muscle. If you listen close the wind picked up and the corn leaves started rustling, maybe even a stalk fell, not quite sure but he definitely didn't feel comfortable with the situation!! We could have taken him at a couple different moments but he just didn't meet our criteria!! Good luck in the outdoors!!
