He does cast some things that do dmg. Lunatic gaze and some others along with spawning adds.
If you watch the +0 watchers up video you see everyone turns around from lunatic gaze because it reduces sanity and if there are no watchers up, specifically freya, you can't regen it.

Slight gamma adjustment before publishing it, because I lose some gamma during post-processing of the film. So it's as close as I can get, but slightly off.
