@MinmatarThrasher I understand what you're saying. Just seems that it doesn't matter who's president, not much changes. It's almost like a one party system. In fact, special interests and Corporate America subscribe to both parties. I think it all about divide and conquer. Thanks for your comment.

Give it up Republicans/Conservatives/Righ­tists. It's too late. You can't save this country. The Left is too far entrenched. They're leading us all off a cliff while laughing about it. America is doomed to socialist decay. Abandon ship. I'm moving back to Europe. If I'm going to live in a declining leftist shithole, then I might as well do it in a country with nicer architecture, better culture and a socialist government that's at least somewhat competent. America = future 3rd world failed state.

You can tell that Boehner has a boner for all the money sitting in that room.

No studies or economists needed, just common sense, that lower taxes do not lead to economic growth. An owner of a business wont expand just because his taxes are lower, he will just pocket the difference. Just like higher taxes wont cause an owner to limit his business. Taxes are on profit, and do not really impede function of business, they just impede the profits of the ownership / investors.

In fact, as Center for American Progress Director of Tax and Budget Policy Michael Linden found, “in the past 60 years, job growth has actually been greater in years when the top income tax rate was much higher than it is now” -- See the chart in the article. @REOGURU Right on! Its just a mess! Unbelievable amount of corruption! I find myself questioning everything anymore! Up here in MI the biggest crooks of the mortgage was Fannie Mae! They hold all the foreclosures up here, along with bank of America! We just went through 2 purchases of foreclosures off of them, what a racket!! All this talk about budget cuts is a joke! Those cuts to us are huge , but to the budget its nothing!! Cut the military first!! Cut the gov funds! Then talk about ours!!

@goingfor11 I didn't say the "bank's" didn't make money; although, more accurately it was mortgage giants Ameriquest & Countrywide that make the bulk of the money, the two largest sub-prime players, along w/other well known but lesser minions in that field. FNMA & FHLMC also made a killing selling MBS's & a cacophony of other similarly named financial instruments to unwitting investors around the world, both large and small - sovereign to individual. I agree w/u re austerity & privatization.
