An artist chooses a subject and draws it on a card with a pencil. He does this every day for an entire year. The drawings record things large and small, significant and mundane, colorful and bland. You could have held the whole stack in one hand until, in-between each drawing, he added more drawings. The new drawings enabled his subjects to melt, slip, slide, overlap, disintegrate, reintegrate and transmogrify, until the entire thing was one continuous, moving, drawing -- creating More From Life.
I inadvertently sat in on a conversation between the artist and a local shop owner, and really didn't have a definite idea what to expect. This work definitely rocks; excellent technique and quality execution. Bravo.
