  • what movie is this?

  • @goarmysinknavy hey, it is a tv show reconstruction,

    please read the description.

HE HE HE !!!

  • Russians intended to help Czechoslovakia but Poles refused to let them pass. Then Poles attacked Czechoslovakia as well.

    Shame on you!

  • @Jastrzab78

  • @goarmysinknavy It was from polish historical serial "sensacje XX wieku" by Bogusław Wołoszański

You're probably right, I don't know much about Neville Chamberlain, only that he though Hitler wasn't "foolish" enough to risk a war with Britain and France. Only too late did he realize Hitler had called his bluff and worse gave Hitler the impression the west was weak and afraid to go to war with his Germany.

Churchill was bold enough to continue the war after the disaster in France in 1940, when many British politicians though making peace with Germany was the "sane option".

  • @McLarenMercedes I think Neville thought Hitler was a good guy you can reason with and he didn't understand that Hitler was a psychopath because of this many jews died in Czechoslovakia after the nazis invaded the country because Neville wanted peace and never got it. The only one that understood that Hitler was a threat was Churchill but Neville was afraid of another war and wasn't concerned about the treatment of the jews in Germany.

  • @yankobutt

When Hitler wanted the Sudetenland part of Czechoslovakia, Neville Chamberlain agreed because he foolishly thought Hitler would be content with that. The Czechs themselves had built several well armed fortresses along the border and had at the time one of Europe's best arms industries (which Hitler naturally wanted to utliize for his future conquests). Had Chamberlain said no to Hitler's demands, Hitler would be forced to invade the country using his 1938 army. That was risky.

  • @yankobutt

The French could easily have knocked Hitler out in 1936 when he invaded the Rheinland and thus seized much of the industry he needed for his war machinery. In fact Hitler had told his army to do a full retreat if the French attacked. In 1936 the German army was nowhere near ready for war and was lightly armed. After the war Churchill told the French they missed a golden opportunity in 1936 to spare the world from the conflict.

Another great missed opportunity was in 1938.

  • @McLarenMercedes Not much was said about the Saar Offensive and why it was stopped but the best time to have striked Germany was when Germany was attacking Poland but not much was done and by May of 1940 there was no way that the British or French armies could have stopped Germany the German army and airforce were better than the French.

  • @yankobutt

France overestimated Germany's tank forces in 1939 (they counted way more than Germany actually had in 1939) and although they did a small offensive into Germany (Saar Offensive) and made rapid progress, they soon withdrew back into France. After the war some French general said it was a huge mistake stopping the offensive there, because the German industrial area Ruhr was within reach. Stalin would thus never have attacked Poland (he did it when it became clear nobody helped Poland)
