Trailer of the award winning documentary on stem cell research, "Life is for the Living". NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON.COM http://www.amazon.com/Life-Living-Michael-Rubyan/dp/B001MBTT76/ref=pd_bbs_sr_...

"Life is for the Living" tells the stories of six American families living with the painful realities of Juvenile Diabetes, Parkinsons, and Spinal Cord Injury set against the national debate over embryonic stem cell research. As the debate continues in Washington and across the country, three generations reveal their challenges, their frustration with the Presidents policy, and the hope that more funding for embryonic stem cell research will lead to new treatments and cures to relieve their suffering and save their lives.

"Life is for the Living" also explores the science behind stem cell research and the political debate taking place across the nation. The film includes an introduction by CBS 60 Minutes' Mike Wallace and interviews with the nation's leading scientific researchers, political leaders, and advocates.

  • @oran6es hmm human flesh lovely

  • @johnnyd101 Cannibalizing our young is not scientific progress.

  • religion is retarding progress again thats just great

  • False hope. Unrealistic unethical research which truly robs the ill of true promising research.

  • Sorry. Developing humans, not magic pixie dust. Humans at any stage of their life cycle should not belong to corporations. Stop giving the ill false hope.

Give the ill what they deserve. Realistic research.

  • im appalled with the pathetic language used by those whos opinion is as sacred as the others.value those who have respect for other people who have an opinion;;You live in the same world ,do you have a child who may read what you write;;iWhat the world needs is tolerance towards one anothers words as their own belief is expeced as such;;you have no right to call someone u dont know such unholy words;;;;Our god we each hold sacred, hangs his head in tears,,it is he we must look upon next..

  • Incorrect, my good friend. An embryo is a human individual in early development. The sperm have ALREADY come and gone(except for one lucky one). Sperm+ovum(egg)=zygote, immediate maturation and continued development 1cell, 2,4,8,16,32......etc. 150-300 cells within 3-5 days(blastocyst/early embryo). Early limb buds(arms and legs) within a few weeks. Maintain the individual>corporation. Develop human tissue as a whole in women, not as parts in the corporate lab.

  • @oran6es well we are already under the yoke of corporations, our whole world unfortunately is run by the almighty dollar, I agree corporations for the most part have only evil intentions. you are entitled to your opinion that throwing embryos away is better than doing research on them, I disagree, embryos are worthless without sperm, just like during sex after ejaculation millions of potential humans are killed when the semen drips out of the woman's vagina.

  • @Hikieru9

Much of the research is aimed at specifically that( how to successfully grow human parts in dishes(parts derived from embryos) to inject into other humans.

My view: A "spare" embryo is NO different from a non-spare. It's just as human, don't misuse it. Don't turn ANY human over to a corporation( who's aim is to convert the human into a commodity).

Peace. See you at the super bowl. Go Saints.

  • @oran6es apology accepted. I just don't understand why you keep thinking I "discriminate against the less developed humans". I never ever said that, why do you keep misquoting me? I have no problem with stating my views, FYI, I am AGAINST abortion but it will never end. Let me say this one more time so you're clear: Instead of throwing embryos in the trash or destroying them do research. Got it? I agree They are not meant to be pulled apart and injected into other humans. Peace.
