127 - We review the brand new product from Improve Electronics, the Boogie Board 10.5 Inch LCD Writing Tablet. This is a lowered powered alternative to sticky notes or notepads and is made for drawing and notetaking. It is an actual LCD tablet that costs $60, has one button for erasing the screen and one lock switch. You can use the included stylus or your fingers to draw on the pressure sensitive screen.
As much as I'd love one I'm gonna hold out until it can save and has an eraser. Yes the boogie board rip can save but it needs selective eraser and maybe an undo button... Different colors would be cool too

@DanFrederiksen : The type of tablet shown here would not really have pixels, it uses a pressure sensitive bistable liquid crystal panel, the pressure you apply directly changes the state of the LC in that area, so there is no active pen/touch tracking involved.
The closest thing I can think of to compare it to is the magic/mystic writing pads often used as a toy. Gray things with layers of plastic that would stick to a dark, waxy backing when pressed/written on...

@Arakmatzu That was the point, not to make some new device, but to create a reusable piece of paper.

one problem arises when one can not transfer books to the device etc.... so it renders it almost like real paper....

If you have a digital camera, point it at the screen and "save" a given page. Problem solved.
