In Nigeria women with disabilities face multiple challenges. They engage in self-help projects through which they proffer solutions to the poverty, discrimination and marginalization they suffer in societies. Nigeria has signed, ratified and yet to domesticate the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, an instrument hoped to use to better the standard of living of women with disabilities all over the world.
