Tamara Scott, Norwalk, Iowa addresses crowd at DMS Iowa Teaparty at Iowa State Capitol 15 April 2009. This is part one of two. She held up a teabag that I gave her with the words written on it..."Remember In November". We will prevail.
2:20 What article is she refering to? I've been searching for half an hour and can't find anything on the Washington Times website that says anything close to what she's talking about. If it's there, I'd like to read it. If it's not... I won't be surprised.
She's advocating for a theocracy.... not freedom. She should move to Iran or join the taliban where they embrace theocratic regimes. Many big corporations, many of the very rich and the Koch brothers love these kind of culture/religious warriors to distract from their looting of America and most Americans.
I was at the tea party, I thought there was too much talk about gay marriage. It wasnt the time or place and with an event that is supposed to be open to everyone, it's hard when you have people talking about issues that are against them... They want us against each other, So we shouldn't help them out!
I understand your point. However, it is going to take every conservative from all angles, working together to make our government work for us...not the other way around. They want us divided, so that they can keep beating us down.
my point being, i think focusing on god is just making it look more like a conservative republican thing. all you hear is that its not and how everyone should get involved. I was really surprised when there was a prayer to kick the whole thing off.. It made me feel like i was at the wrong event. I know i may not see every point eye to eye, but making it seem like the whole reason behind this movement is god, i believe is a mistake. just my opinion. i think it turned a lot of people off.
Hey skinkitchen, I am a part of the DSM Tea Party, and I am here to tell you that while a good number of the people involved are very christian, many members are not. I really do invite you to check us at. If you agree with the basic message that taxes are out of control along with spending, then you will fit in just fine.
