i'm talking about the compression IN the engine as in where combustion happens... i'm not talking about backpressure and exhaust has nothing to do with engine compression.

i was talking about his engine compression. But yeah the back pressure thing is true. opening the exhaust up is good but backpressure is needed especially when you have a stock intake.
