@arfies The great misconception about the "rabbit test" is that the rabbit only died if the test for pregnancy was positive. In fact, the rabbit _always_ died, because it had to be dissected to determine if its reaction to an injection of the woman's urine caused certain ovarian changes. A similar, reciprocal test for determining a rabbit's pregnancy may be performed by injecting the rabbit's urine into a human female, and this was sometimes done for very expensive pedigree rabbits.

@madamerotten I agree. Funny story though: My mom had a pet rabbit who died, and she was devastated. She told her coworkers why she was so upset, and they all began CONGRATULATING her, thinking she and my dad were expecting. "No, my ACTUAL RABBIT died!"
