Are you sure Misa doesnt love Light? If she didnt, she wouldnt reduce her life span "again" for Light. I know Light doesnt care about Misa and Takada and sees them only as pawns, still the girls love him and it makes love one of the minor themes of Death Note. It may not be one of the main themes but still love is involved. If there wasnt love in Death Note then there would be no Misa, if there's no Misa then Light wouldnt be able to make use of Shinigami eyes or Rem.
