I can honestly say I didn't learn about rock and roll by listening to zeppelin or any of those bands. I think most of us didn't actually. For me it has always been the '50s and '60s, blues, surf and stuff like that.

yeah man I totally agree with you. I'm just saying that most of us learnt rock'n roll and folks like Eddie via Led Zeppelin.

@touaregk Paul McCartney played the Eddie Cochran song TWENTY FLIGHT ROCK for John Lennon in 1957. So even WAY before Zep and even the Yardbirds(Pages band in the '60s) people were covering Eddie Cochran songs and being influenced by him.

:)
This influenced Zeppelin

Page himself credits artists like Eddie Cochane and Link Wray for opening the doors to music that no one in England would have ever thought of. American music was the main influence on the British Invasion. Even Skiffle was American influenced.

all right. Probably most of us wouldn't know. That better?
Drmouse87, I guess this song would have come before Led Zep considering Eddie Cochran died in 1960. I believe Beethovens 5th symphony came before The Beatles but I'll just check.
