Souquet vs. Yang (Rack 3-6) @World Games 2009

(Jul. 26, 2009) The match was the men's 9-ball final at the World Games 2009 Kaohsiung. No.1 seed Ralf Souquet of Germany challenged Kaohsiung native hope Yang Ching-Shun. The strong German, however, dashed Taiwanese hopes of hometown gold. Formidable Souquet dispatched extraordinarily nervous Yang with relative ease, 11-4, to win the gold medal. This match took place July 26 at the Chung Cheng Martial Arts Stadium, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

For example, when Souquet misses, they are like "now Yang have a chance", or when Yang lucks one in they would be very happy. Basically, they are happy when Souquet misses, which I find unprofessional.

Its instinctive to becheering on for your local athlete, though it may be seen as unprofessional by many.

But if you really catch and truly understand AND watched the rest of the videos, you would realize that the commentators constantly mentioned the great aspects of Ralf as a pool player and stated that Ralf received great respect and warm welcome in Taiwan from many pool fans, where he felt like he was 'Somebody', in contrast to feeling like a 'Nobody' back in his own homeland.
