I think it's almost comical the way she dwells on hair clubs, etc. Fact is, I love bald headed men, find them interesting and sexy. At my age, they have to be pretty special to get a second look, and Jay is. But you knew that, haha.

@Suziq1231 All three Jays are still alive and performing, in different groups. Jay Black is the Jay who was there when JATA made most of the hits. His is the most distinctive voice of the three. Jay Traynor had their first big hit with "She Cried". Then he left the group and Jay Black joined them. Jay Black uses the name "Jay Black". On February 4, he performed in a concert in Fla. and sang his signature "Cara Mia", complete with the difficult high note as when he was young. Great voice still!

@rocmaven Listening to the songs, I can't pick out a single one of the backup voices, they all blend as backups should. It wouldn't matter who was singing backup if they could harmonize. But there is no mistaking the lead singer. It's either Jay Black or it's not the voice we all associated with JATA when they were making hits. By comparison, the newest group sounds weak, especially the lead singer. Jay Black is in his 70s now and still sounds like he did when he sang "Cara Mia" and had a hit.

@VishnuMa Yes, the name Jay & the Americans was bought under unfortunate circumstances and a run of the mill singer got together with several ex "real" members (not either Jay or Kenny Vance) and are calling themselves Jay & the Americans and fooling the public. I guess if I was able to buy the name "Beyonce" or "Madonna" for instance, I could go out and sing too! This is a joke played on the public.

@Suziq1231 The REAL Jay, Jay Black (David Blatt) is alive and well and still performing. A cover group has been formed using the name Jay & the Americans which became available for purchase due to legal issues. Performing under the name does not make them Jay & the Americans. Also, having a few of the original members (NOT lead singers) does not make them Jay & the Americans. Look for Jay Black in concert if you want to hear "The Voice".
