man poste a diagam

Please could you upload the schematic?
-
Did you try putting the JT into a Pyramid?
-
i have a solution to save energy on the battery by adding a capacitor and an extra potentiometer so you can get your joule thief in ramp pulse mode. that chould reduce the consumption.
-
I have a question that no one would answer me : how fast does the battery deplete ?
-
that is NOT a 40 W tube !!!! it's an 18 watt one

Dodosholodo, in the video the third coil it doesn't look like 500 turns. Seriously isn't 200 windings? Maybe looks like less windings cause you use such a big toroid. I you many layers to reach 200, and you didn't you any layer.
-
I replicate your device, but my toroid does not sing. I have no 90 V neon at the transistor maybe that is the reason?
Thanks for answer.

Almost enjoyed your video--looks very interesting--too bad those pussies that work for YT are so sensitive.
Enjoyed your others ones though!

Very nice work! Great video too. Excellent job.

hey where did you get your pot at???mine blew when i was using just a regular Jt with 90 turns and two AA's. Mine was a 5k from radioshack.

I get all my stuff from jaycar(dot)com(dot)au in Australia. I also use a 5K 2W pot. try to get a pot with highest wattage rating.
The pot blows when lots of current flows through it. if the pot was wound down to a low resistance it will allow lots of current to flow thru and blow it. Make sure the resistance is atleast 1k and u wont have a problem.
I like to use a balast resistor in line with the pot so the minimum resistance will be the value of the resistor, if pot is wound down

u can see in this vid I have a power resistor in line with the pot to protect it. Its also to protect the 2n3055 transistor at the base. Use a 2-5W power resistor at about 300-600ohms.
This means the miniumum resistance at the base will be this power resistor protecting the pot and transistor.
