TWC Season 2: Chapter 13 (Protective)

-Maddie starts to have another dream. But this time its a good dream. Shes floating in the ocean, but shes not afraid. Someones holding her. The person lets go. "No don't let go, im gonna drown!", she yells. "You won't drown while i'm here baby. You'll always be safe with me", says the stranger. Maddie hears the familiar voice call her 'baby' and realizes its Nick. She knows shes safe.-
Mandy: How long?
Joe: They said she'll be fine in a few days, but shes gonna have a scar on her wrist. The doctors think that when she was about to hit her head on the rock that knocked her out, she used her hand to try to block the fall.
Mandy: I guess that didn't work so well.
Joe: Not really. Well at least she'll be okay.
-Maddie moves her head.-
Nick: Be quiet, your waking her up.
Joe: My turn!
Nick: What?
joe: You said that i could carry her when she starts to wake up.
Nick: Joe i never said that.
Joe: Whatever i think you need a break from carrying her Nick.
Nick: I'm fine Joe.
-Maddie opens her eyes and sees that Nick is carrying her.-
Nick: Hey Madz.
Maddie: You didn't let me drown.
Nick: What?
Maddie: Nothing. Hey Mandy!
Mandy: Hey Maddie honey, how you feelin?
Maddie: Like i almost drown and hit my head on a rock.
Joe: *laughs*
Nick: Nothing is funny about this Joe!
Joe: Yea but she said she felt like-
-Nick glares at Joe.-
Joe: Okay fine, sorry.
Maddie: Where are we going?
Mandy: To Joe and Nick's house.
Maddie: Can't i just go back to your house Mandz?
Mandy: Nope sorry Madz-
Joe: My mom made a fuss over your injurys and said that sinse your mom is in Florida, then she wants to take care of you.
Maddie: Aww thats so nice of her, but really not nessisary. I think i'll be able to take care of myself.
Nick: No. Your not getting hurt again. Your comming home with us and were going to take care of you.
Joe: Someones protective.
Mandy: Yea Nick your like Maddie's own Edward Cullen.
Nick: *embarrased* I uh-
Maddie: Guess i'm lucky then *smiles*
Joe: Okay Nick, give her up. It's my turn to carry her!
Nick: Ugh fine Joe.
-Nick gives Maddie to Joe.-
Nick: *whispers to Joe* If you drop her i'll kill you.
Joe: Ooo was that a threat from my little brother? *laughs*
Nick: I mean it Joe!!
Mandy: So Maddie, i'm really really sorry about what happened. Taylor stopped by the hospital and told me that you came to the beach to look for me.
Maddie: Yea you used to always go to the beach when your upset back in Florida.
Mandy: *laughs* Yea, i was at the beach when you went looking for me. And if you hadn't of came to look for me then this would have never happened and you wouldn't-
Maddie: Mandy. Its okay Mandy, its totally not your fault.
Mandy: But-
Nick: Mandz shes right. It really wasn't your fault.
Mandy: Okay *smiles*
Maddie: *smiles and yawns*
Joe: Tired Maddie?
Maddie: Yea but i wanna stay *yawn* awake.
Joe: Just go to sleep Madz. You need as much sleep as you can get to be better by the 1st when we start touring.
Maddie: But i don't wanna *yawn* sleep...
-Maddie falls asleep in Joe's arms.-
Maddie: *turns head*
Frankie: Shes waking up!
Nick: Shhh. Frankie don't talk so loud. She needs to sleep as long as she can.
Frankie: Sorry. I just want her to wake up so i can show her my toys.
Nick: Mandy's in the living room, why don't you go show her your toys.
Frankie: Okay!
-Maddie opens her eyes and sees Nick staring at her.-
Maddie: Hey.
Nick: Hey, you should go back to sleep.
Maddie: No i think ive had enough sleep for today. Where am i?
Nick: In my bedroom.
-Maddie looks around and sees toys everywhere.-
Maddie: Umm... cool toys.
Nick: *laughs* I share this room with Frankie.
Maddie: *laughs* Well that explains it.
Nick: *laughs* Yea.
-Nicks mom comes in the bedroom-
Denise: Hey Maddie, how you feeling?
Maddie: Well i guess other than my leg, arm and head im okay. *smiles*
Denise: I'm gonna get you some water and you let me know if you need anything else okay?
Maddie: Okay, thank you Denise.
Nick: So can i sit on the bed with you?
Maddie: Sure. *smiles*
-Nick smiles and lays on the bed next to Maddie.-
Nick: You'll be better before we start touring. Just a few scratches and stuff.
Maddie: Thats good.
-Maddie moves her arm.-
Maddie: Owww!
Nick: Whats wrong Maddie?!
Maddie: My wrist.
-Nick looks at Maddie's wrist.-
Nick: Sorry Madz, but your gonna have a scar there.
Maddie: Ugh stupid rock.
-Joe comes in the room.-
Joe: Hey Madz!
Maddie: Hi Joe. *smiles*
Joe: Whats wrong?
Maddie: Its just my wrist. It hurts from rock i fell on at the beach.
Joe: Oh right. I know what will make it feel better.
Maddie: What?
-Joe jumps on Nick's bed, next to Maddie and kisses her wrist.-
