It sounds like your point was that the Steelers (or any other team) did nothing wrong if some of their players did infact (their is very little solid evidence of what players did take these roids) take steroids for the purpose of gaining muscle during the 70's

Just becuase a resturant bans smoking doesn't mean you can't smoke in one that allows it. The Steelers and all their players were in the NFL so if they wanted they could have taken roids (same with all the other teams) Though solid proof of who took roids is hard to find for any team back then.

but..it was legal in the nfl but not legal in alot of other sports....the 70's were messed up that way..then in the 80's roids became not legal..
